Those Were The Days

Those were the days when a pint of decent beer cost 90p and a glass of good house wine cost just 70p!

In April 1989 the NALGO ‘City Bar‘ opened in Stanley Street next to the then Radio City studios in the heart of Liverpool city centre.

As well as providing excellent social facilities including a very popular pool table, the City Bar excelled as a venue to hangout and discuss the finer points of trade union strategy and tactics.

Feeling nostalgic during lockdown- tells about your experiences , encounters, recollections of the City Bar - you know your secrets are safe with us!
